Millions of community health workers (CHWs) globally—70% women—are not salaried, skilled, supervised, and supplied. Community Health Impact Coalition (CHIC) is making professional community health workers the norm worldwide by changing guidelines, funding, and policy. We research to equip international norm setters with evidence. We advocate to influence global financing institutions. And we activate in-country CHW networks to win national policy change. CHIC was founded in 2019 and includes CHWs and global health organizations in 40 countries. We exist because community health workers work.
